Walton Global Completes Strategic Land Sale in Hays County, TX to D.R. Horton
Master Plan Designated to Support Residential Development
Walton Global, a leading real estate investment and land asset management firm, is pleased to announce the sale of the remaining 30 acres of residential development within the Anderson master planned community in Hays County, Texas. This is the second phase closing from Walton to D.R. Horton on this property, following the 47-acre Phase 1 closing that took place in April of 2022.
The residential subdivision, known as Marigold, is located at the intersection of State Highways 21 and 130, offering direct connectivity to the high-growth corridor between Austin and San Antonio. With continued population growth and infrastructure investment in the area, Anderson is positioned to support the surging demand for attainable single-family housing in one of the fastest-growing regions in Texas.
“This transaction underscores our commitment to identifying and delivering real estate solutions in markets where growth and opportunity intersect,” said Rob Nixon, Senior Vice President of Real Estate at Walton Global. “We’re proud to work alongside D.R. Horton to help address the housing needs to Hays County and support the broader development in the region.”
Key highlights of the Anderson Master Planned Community include:
-
- Strategic Location: Situated near rapidly growing cities such as Kyle, Buda, and New Braunfels, the property provides easy access to regional employment hubs via State Highways 21 and 130.
-
- Lifestyle Amenities: The community features multiple playgrounds, a fenced dog park, a splash pad, multiple green spaces, and a well-managed homeowner’s association.
-
- Proximity to Education: The property falls within the Hays Consolidated Independent School District, with access to the directly adjacent Uhland Elementary School.
“Anderson provides the kind of community that today’s families are seeking—well-located, thoughtfully designed, and connected to great schools and infrastructure,” said Scott Wilburn, Division President for D.R. Horton’s Austin division. “We are excited to work with Walton Global to bring this vision to life and support the continued development of the Uhland area.”
Walton Global remains actively engaged in the Central Texas region and beyond, with a robust pipeline and portfolio positioned to support future residential and mixed-use development.
