Walton Global Strengthens Southwest Footprint with Los Lunas Property Acquisition
Land purchased to support residential development near Albuquerque
Walton Global, a leading real estate investment, land banking and land asset management company, has acquired 56 residential lots in Los Lunas, New Mexico. This strategic addition underscores Walton’s commitment to identifying high-demand markets and delivering ready-to-build opportunities that fuel community growth. The lots were acquired through Walton’s signature Finished Lot Program, which continues to drive new residential development across the U.S.
As part of Walton’s broader Builder Land Finance structure, the Finished Lot Program offers homebuilders a capital-efficient land banking solution that reduces upfront land costs. The program enables faster delivery of new housing supply by preserving capital for vertical construction and continues to expand across key housing markets nationwide.
This acquisition expands the existing Fiesta del Norte community in Los Lunas. Conveniently located off Interstate 25 and Highway 6, the community offers quick access to downtown Albuquerque (about a 25-minute drive), and sits within one of the metro area’s fastest-growing corridors. The community and surrounding region appeal to first-time homebuyers, with homes typically priced in the low- to mid-$300,000s, who seek accessible ownership opportunities in a rapidly developing area.
“Demand for attainable homeownership continues to rise in and around Albuquerque, and this acquisition demonstrates Walton Global’s commitment to investing in markets supported by strong growth fundamentals,” said Paul Bae,Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management at Walton Global. “Development is accelerating in this area, with established schools, retail, outdoor amenities and employment hubs, it’s the kind of community that meets today’s needs and supports long-term growth.”
Fiesta del Norte is surrounded by established schools, including Los Lunas High School, Los Lunas Middle School, and Katherine Gallegos Elementary. Nearby retail centers, supermarkets and restaurants complement major employment hubs such as a Meta data center, an Amazon fulfillment center, and a Walmart distribution center. With neighborhood parks, walking trails and access to the region’s growth corridor, the community provides both convenience and a high-quality lifestyle for future residents.
Walton Global continues expanding its investment activity across the Southwest as part of a broader commitment to delivering sustainable, long-term growth communities. The company remains focused on promoting real estate solutions that meet evolving market needs and support the development of vibrant places to live.
