Walton Global, a leading asset management and global real estate investment company, has announced two successful sales within the 64-acre Parkside Master Planned Community, located just northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. This community sits on the Georgia State Route 316 Corridor, near the city of Statham in Barrow County.

The first parcel, sold to Hillpointe, LLC, consists of 20 acres that can support up to 284 multifamily units. The second parcel, sold to D.R. Horton, consists of 36 acres, or approximately 140 lots intended for the construction of single-family homes. A third parcel, consisting of 7.88 acres of land slated for commercial use, is being sold.

“Walton Global is always pleased to support the increasing growth in the outer-Atlanta area,” said Anthony Sparrow, EVP of Real Estate for Walton Global. “The ability to provide land helps to promote housing solutions and build sustainable communities for many years to come.”

The Parkside Master Planned Community is primely located along US-316, which connects Lawrenceville with Athens. The community provides convenient access to Atlanta and I-85 and boasts 1,000 feet of frontage on Tom Miller Road and 600 feet of frontage on Roxey Maxey Road. The property is located in proximity to Apalachee High School, Haymon-Morris Middle School, Yargo Elementary School and Cadence Academy Preschool, making it a great place for families to live, work and play. Previous housing developments in the area by D.R. Horton and Lennar feature amenities such as swimming pools, playgrounds, dog parks, and nature trails.

Barrow County has restructured zoning regulations for this community, allowing for the establishment of a High-Density Residential zone, supported by a special use Master Planned Development designation to promote a diverse mixed-use community. This rezoning helps promote the development of single-family homes, multifamily residences and neighborhood commercial spaces.

The U.S. Census Bureau reports an estimated population of 92,792 in Barrow County as of July 2023, which is a nearly 4% increase year over year. Walton Global remains committed to upholding its investments within this region to further support this expansion. The company also remains dedicated to promoting solutions that develop and maintain sustainable communities that stand the test of time and support the thriving population.
