The intended use for the land is for the development of 335 single-family homes in the Liberty Crossing master-planned community.

Real estate investment and land asset management company Walton Global sold 146 acres of land in Braselton, Georgia, to D.R. Horton. The intended use for the land is for the development of approximately 335 single-family homes for the master plan community of Liberty Crossing and will be completed in three phases. The first development phase is projected to begin this summer with house construction slated to follow in fall 2023.

“D.R. Horton has been a prolific builder in the Jackson County area, and we are excited to see their continued success in the development of the Liberty Crossing master plan,” says Anthony Sparrow, senior vice president of Tennessee, Georgia, and the Carolinas for Walton Global. “Adding more homes to this area will help both home buyers and businesses in this hot market.”

The Liberty Crossing master plan community is located 4 miles from the Chateau Elan Golf Course, Spa and Winery and 14 miles from the Mall of Georgia.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with Walton Global and build our highly desirable homes in the Liberty Crossing community,” says Tim Arnold, D.R. Horton Atlanta West division president. “Liberty Crossing is a highly amenitized master plan located within the growing town of Braselton where D.R. Horton has previously had great success selling homes.”

Earlier in June, D.R. Horton completed the first phase of a 409-acre land purchase from Walton Global in the city of Dallas, Georgia. The builder purchased the land as a six-phase strategy for the Edenwood master plan community in the Lost Creek Subdivision.
