Walton Global Acquires 195 Acres in Greenville, North Carolina
Land procured to support residential development in Pitt County
Walton Global, a real estate investment and land asset management company, announced the acquisition of 195 acres of land in the Greenville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The property will be known as Stantonsburg Road and is earmarked for residential development, allowing Walton Global to continue meeting the growing demand for housing in this region.
Stantonsburg Road is in a prime location conveniently situated near Highway 284 and Interstate 587. The property ensures easy access to the city’s vibrant selection of shopping, dining and entertainment venues. Future residents will also benefit from the proximity to key infrastructures including East Carolina University, the ECU Medical Center, and Pitt-Greenville Airport.
The current Rural Residential (RR) zoning designation will be revised as Walton Global looks to have the property annexed by the City of Greenville and rezoned to RA-20 as a Master Planned Community. This reclassification aims to support a broader mix of lot sizes tailored to current housing needs, alongside potential conservation and open space areas. As designed, the neighborhood will feature a mix of residential uses, three access points and robust lifestyle amenities.
Executive Vice President of Land Acquisitions Mike Doherty said, “This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to developing high-quality living spaces that meet the evolving needs of modern families. Greenville’s growth and appeal as a residential area make the Stantonsburg Road property an ideal location for this exciting new development.”
The Stantonsburg Road project is set to complement Walton’s ongoing efforts in the region, joining a line of successful local developments including Stanfield, East Ridge, Dakota Creek, Chicod Landing, The Townes at Ridgewood Farms, Ridgewood Farms and Laurel Ridge.
