Land secured within Springhaven Master Planned Community to support Gaston County’s Growing Population
Walton Global, a leading asset management and global real estate investment company, has announced the acquisition of Springhaven II, a 143-acre parcel in the Springhaven Master Planned Community in Gastonia, North Carolina. Situated on a scenic plateau nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upper Coastal Plains, this real estate development is currently zoned for single-family residential purposes.
“Located in the south-central Piedmont region, Gaston is the third largest county in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area,” said Michael Slavotinek, Vice President, Real Estate in for Walton Global. “Our acquisition of Springhaven II is a great addition to our three adjacent properties and will assist in supporting the county’s growing population.”
The Springhaven Master Planned Community is perfectly located just a short drive from Gastonia’s local businesses and is approximately 20 minutes west of Charlotte. It also promotes easy access to Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which is accessible by Interstate 85 and US Highway 321.

Springhaven II is located near Belmont Abbey College, as well as W.A. Bess Elementary, Cramerton Middle, and Forestview High School. Residents will also gain adequate proximity to a variety of the area’s attractions, including the Stowe Botanical Gardens, Lake Wylie and the Catawba River, Seven Oaks Nature Preserve, Crowders Mountain State Park and the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Venturing about four hours outside of Gaston County, residents will reach other attractions like the Great Smoky Mountains and the beautiful beaches of Charleston.
The U.S. Census Bureau reports an estimated population of 237,242 in Gaston County as of July 2023, which is a nearly 4% increase from 2020. Walton Global remains committed to upholding Springhaven II and its three additional investments within this region to further support area expansion.
