WALTON COMPLETES PHASE ONE OF FORT WORTH MPC NEIGHBORHOOD

2017/11/14

Walton Development and Management has completed Phase One of construction on its 268-acre parcel within the 625-acre Chisholm Trail Ranch master-planned community in Fort Worth, Texas.

169 single-family residential lots were delivered to home builders including HistoryMaker Homes, Antares Homes, Sandlin Homes, and Dunhill Homes. Walton plans to develop over 1,000 single-family lots in the community.

“With most of the lots in Phase One sold and the remainder contracted by the home builders, we are very excited about the progress at Chisholm Trail Ranch,” says John Vick, president of Walton’s West Region. “In September we initiated construction of the 233 lots in phase 2 and are scheduled to deliver the lots in the third quarter of 2018.”

Construction of a 1.9-acre amenity center and three-acre park is underway, according to the developers. An onsite elementary school has been approved, and construction is expected to begin in 2018.

Walton has also acquired a 1,755-acre property adjacent to Chisholm Trail Ranch called Worth Creek, which has been zoned for 895 acres of single-family development, 32 acres of multifamily development, 172 acres of mixed-use development, and 36 acres of commercial and retail spaces. Worth Creek will include a fire station, two schools, and a new 80-acre campus for Tarleton State University.
