Located in Edmonton’s west end, and connected to anywhere you would want to go via major thoroughfares like Stony Plain Road, Whitemud Drive and 215 Street, there is no reason why you should not look to Henley Heights for your first or next home.
A new K-9 public school is anticipated to open in Henley Heights as soon as 2017. The school will be located a short three-minute walk from the current showhome area, providing families with young children the ability to walk to school — a pleasure reminiscent of the good old days.
“Walton has been working closely with the Edmonton Public School Board for quite some time to ensure Henley Heights is the ideal location for their new school designated for the Secord neighbourhood. We are excited to see plans come together for this great neighbourhood amenity,” said Jill Curtis, marketing manager with Walton Development and Management.
What helps to make the community more attractive is the wide selection of housing types, all built by four of Alberta’s top homebuilders — Crimson Cove, Homes by Avi, Bedrock Homes and Connect Homes.
Visit any of the showhomes this spring to learn about the limited time $20,000 promotion currently being offering in the community. Be sure to ask showhome builder representatives for the details on how you can take advantage of these savings.
Those builders bring with them four tasteful architectural styles, selected to ensure long term homeowner value, and the community blends seamlessly with the surrounding neighbourhoods while infusing a flavour all its own.
“Four distinct and elegant styles of homes have been carefully selected for the Henley Heights neighbourhood to complement the surrounding areas, while still maintaining a personal touch for each homeowner,” Curtis said. “With homes that are modelled in classic traditional, prairie, modern heritage and craftsman styles, homebuyers will find the style that for them defines home.”
Crimson Cove’s rear laned showhome, the Chimney Swift, is 1,672 sq.ft. in size with an expansive kitchen including an oversized Quartz kitchen island. Crimson Cove is also offering front garage homes in the community.
Homes by Avi has a front-garage home, the Hawthorne, that is 2,470 sq.ft. in size.
Bedrock Homes has its Montana on display, which is a 2,286-sq.ft., front-garage home with an open and spacious main floor with nine-foot ceilings.
Connect Homes has three models in Henley Heights: its Jenine, a 1,854 sq.ft., front-garage home with plenty of customizable options; the semi-detached Kaylan, which features a computer/tech area on the main floor and second floor laundry within its 1,532-sq.ft. floorplan; and the Declan Model, a 1,320-sq.ft. home with a clear span basement for easy development in the future.
Across the board, the community’s front-garage homes start in the $420,000s, while the semi-detached homes start in the $340,000s.
In addition, the Edmonton Minor Soccer Association’s new park across 231 Street is close to completion. The park features 26 full-sized soccer fields will be constructed on land donated to Parkland County by Edmonton businessman Denny Andrews, Curtis said.
It will be the largest soccer facility in North America in terms of the number of permanent fields in one place. The first set of fields are expected to be operational later this year.
