About the property

Master Plan Location

The 312-acre Big Lake Master Plan is located along the southern shore of Big Lake and east of 231st Street (the City of Edmonton's western boundary).

Road Access

The Big Lake Master Plan is situated just west of the Transportation Utility Corridor (TUC) which provides convenient access to the north and south ends of the city.

Land Use

The Master Plan is planned predominantly for single-family residential development benefiting from the adjacent natural areas and ecological amenities. It is anticipated to benefit from its proximity immediately adjacent to the developing community of Hawks Ridge at Big Lake and the communities of Starling, Trumpeter and Kinglet Gardens in the sector. The center of the Hawks Ridge neighborhood is planned to remain predominantly undeveloped, forming a large natural corridor providing amenity value to the lands.
